Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when using our Service: your email address (required to deliver download links) and payment information, which is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

If analytics are enabled, we also collect basic, aggregated usage data such as pages visited, products viewed, browser type, and referring URL to understand how the site is used and improve it.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to deliver purchased guides to your email address, process payments through Stripe, resend download links when you ask us to, respond to support requests, and ensure the security and integrity of our Service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not send marketing email unless you opt in.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, your payment information is sent directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We receive only a confirmation of payment, your email address, and a transaction identifier.

We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card number or financial account details.

Data Retention

Purchase records are held by Stripe, our payment processor, for as long as necessary to fulfil our obligations, provide customer support, and comply with legal and tax requirements. We do not maintain a separate customer database.

You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us; some records must be retained where the law requires it.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements), and opt out of any marketing communications.

Third-Party Services

Our Service uses the following third-party providers: Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional email delivery, Microsoft Azure for hosting and file storage, and PostHog for privacy-conscious product analytics (when enabled).

Cookies and Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember the contents of your cart on this device. If analytics are enabled, PostHog may set a first-party cookie to distinguish visits. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Children's Privacy

Private Professor is not intended for use by children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
