You just got elected PTO president. Congratulations—and condolences. You've volunteered for one of the most thankless jobs in American civic life: herding parent volunteers, managing a budget with no training, running meetings nobody wants to attend, and somehow not burning out before the year ends. The good news? This doesn't have to be chaos. This document gives you the complete operating system for running a PTO that works—from your first week through handing off to your successor.
